Arkansas Legislature

Arkansas 93rd General Assembly is a great source of bills currently being considered or recently passed.

Family Watchdog

Family Watchdog - go to this website, type in your address and a map will come up to show you where the nearest Sex Offenders are to you. If you click on one of the squares, it will bring up the sex offender's picture.

Annual Credit Report

AnnualCreditReport.com is a website where you can order your free annual credit report.  This one really is free, it is from the three credit reporting agencies and has been set up to allow you to obtain your credit report at least once per year to check for ID theft. 

Federal Trade Commission

Federal Trade Commission is where you can download "A Summary of Your Rights Under the Fair Credit Reporting Act." This is a disclosure that you are to give an applicant if you decline their application or take adverse action based on a credit report. 

Environmental Protection Agency

Environmental Protection Agency - Lead Based Paint. You can download the booklet "Protect Your Family from Lead In Your Home" and "Renovate Right" as well as other disclosure forms. This is information you are to give each one of your tenants of any property built prior to 1978.

HUD - Fair Housing

HUD's website with information concerning the Fair Housing Act and Landlord & Tenant Rights.

Arkansas Realtors

Realtors website - under housing resources, you can find if a home is Fair Housing Registered. There is also other important information on fair housing rules on this site.

Mr Landlord has landlord articles, information, and forms.

Arkansas Fair Housing:  1-501-682-3247 


National Bankruptcy:  1-866-222-8029 

You can call and enter SS# or name and find out if they have a pending bankruptcy, the status and the attorneys name & phone number.


Faulkner County Tax Assessor:  1-501-450-4905

Call and ask who is the owner of a piece of property. Give them the physical address and they will tell you the owners name and sometimes a phone number or address. Use this to verify landlords when checking tenants apps.

Call and order booklets, Fair Housing, Discrimination etc.


Consumer Reporting Agency: 1-888-5-OPT-OUT (567-8688) 

Call this number to stop receiving “pre-screened” credit card offers


National “DO NOT CALL: 1-888-382-1222 

Call this number to have your phone number put on the Do not call list to help stop phone solicitors. You can list all of your phones including cell phones, but you must place the call from each phone. You can only add the one you are calling from at the time.


Free Annual Credit Report:  1-877-322-8228 

As of June 1 2005 Arkansans became eligible for an annual free credit report. This one is from the 3 credit reporting companies. And it is free, it is to let people check their own credit at least once a year to help prevent ID Theft. DO NOT CONFUSE WITH “Free credit report .com”
